The band's name is a a combination of two English words: "SOLITARY" - a lonely, privacy; "TERRAIN" - location, space. The result is abandoned, lonely land.
"SOLERRAIN" is an imaginary world where future and past, fantasy and reality are mixed. The music combines dynamic melodies in the best traditions of the genre with extreme, brutal vocals.
The lyrics are about the legacy man leaves after his life expires, about how his fate is bound up with that of the world.
The musicians describe their style as "Melodic Death Metal", but the music goes far beyond the traditional bounds of the genre. The band is notable not only for their style, which is quite uncommon in the Russian metal scene, but also for their shows, which have helped the band uncover a wide audience since the first concert. “SOLERRAIN” has played more than 100 concerts in and outside Russia and is recognized as one of the most technical and professional Russian bands in this genre.
"Fighting the Illusions" has been recorded with two versions of lyrics, Russian and English.
